General Medicine and Endocrinology

General Medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases of the internal organs, especially in adults.  Endocrinology is one of the branches of general medicine dealing with the endocrine system and the diseases which affect it.

The endocrine system consists of several glands, including the thyroid gland, pancreas, testes, ovaries and adrenal glands, that secrete hormones directly into the blood. Hormones have many different functions and modes of action; one hormone may have several effects on different organs, and, conversely, one organ may be affected by more than one hormone.

We offer regular outpatient clinics to care for you from diagnosis through to treatment for a wide variety of general and endocrine conditions.
