Menopause Clinic
The menopause is something that affects all women. The hormonal changes women's bodies undergo during the menopause can result in a wide range of symptoms. For some, these symptoms are mild and manageable, but for others they may be more severe and impact on everyday life.
The aim of our Menopause Clinic is to offer patients the convenience of a one-stop clinic, wherever possible, for support, advice and treatment when suffering menopausal symptoms. A specialist consultant gynaecologist, experienced in menopause, will discuss your symptoms, take a medical history and talk through any proposed treatment.
Menopausal symptoms are most commonly treated with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), which can reduce symptoms by 70–80%. HRT comprises two hormones; oestrogen and progestogen, and can be given as tablets, patches, gels and implants.
However, we know that each woman’s experience of the menopause is different and that's why we tailor treatment to manage your individual symptoms.
