Memory (Alzheimer’s) Clinic

Significant progressive memory loss in the elderly  can be caused by a variety of different clinical conditions but the most common of which is Alzheimer’s disease. An early diagnosis allows for plans to be made for the future; for people to access appropriate sources of advice and support; and for people to have the opportunity to benefit from drug treatments that are now available

The Caledonian Memory Clinic under the guidance of Dr Colin Rodger will provide a specialist single clinic appointment (lasting no more than two hours) to assess, diagnose and offer treatment to suitable people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease; although drug treatments cannot provide a cure, some people respond to treatment with an improvement in symptoms, or a slowing of the disease progression.
