Professional information
Dr Spratt qualified from St Andrews and Manchester Universities before training further in Manchester and Edinburgh. Having specialised in cardiology since 1995, he completed a Medical Doctorate in hypertension and heart failure research.
He has since specialised further in Interventional Cardiology at the University Hospital of Geneva. He started as a Consultant in 2004 and presently works between Stirling Royal Infirmary and the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
He also continues to run a busy general cardiology clinic in Forth Valley. He has sub-specialty interests and acknowledged National expertise in Interventional Cardiology; cardiac CT; hypertension and cardiomyopathies.
Other information
I enjoy being active and take part in many sports including road and mountain biking, snowboarding and swimming. Reading, watching football, listening to music and spending time with my children makes up the small gap left in the day!
