Dr Beattie is a consultant in paediatric emergency medicine for the University of Edinburgh. He has an extensive research interests in paediatric medicine.
He is currently serving his second term as Honorary Advisor to the Chief Medical Officer for Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
He is also the co-chair of Paediatric Emergency Medicine Group for the European Society of Emergency Medicine.
He is an examiner for the RCSE Emergency medicine exams.
He is the lead for the OCSEs at the examination for the Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a member of the examination committee.
Research interests
Paediatric, orthopaedic and sports medicine.
