How to refer

Referring your patients to The Edinburgh Clinic is quick and easy.

Outpatient referrals

You can refer a patient directly to one of our consultants (see consultants A-Z for a full listing). Alternatively, you can also refer direct to an outpatient service, where there is no named consultant our Appointments team will select the most appropriate consultant to manage your patient's particular condition. You can refer using the following methods:

• Using our online referral form.
• Write your own letter of referral and fax to 0131 446 2560.
• Call us on 0131 447 2340 to make an appointment.

Diagnostic referrals

You can refer to a wide range of diagnostic imaging modalities including x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT and DEXA scanning.  Experienced radiographers will undertake the examinations, with the report read by a Consultant Radiologist and returned directly to you.  To refer use our online referral form or give the completed form to your patient for them to make their own appointment with us by calling 0131 447 2340.

Physiotherapy referrals

You can refer to our experienced chartered physiotherapists for a wide range of conditions including back and neck pain, joint pain, limb and muscle conditions, sports injuries and post-surgery rehabilitation.  To refer use our online referral form or ask your patient to make their own appointment by calling us 0131 447 2340.

Patient referrals

Patients can self-refer to The Edinburgh Clinic for the following services:

• Cosmetic surgery
• Screening services
• Physiotherapy and sports injuries clinic.
