Training & background:

I trained at Queen Margaret College in Edinburgh, graduating in 1983. I have worked in the NHS since then and have spent almost my entire career in Orthopaedics. In 1986, I moved to Princess Margaret Rose Orthopaedic Hospital, Edinburgh and worked there until it closed and moved to the Royal Infirmary, Little France, in 2001. For about 18 years, my special interest has been upper limbs and my current NHS post is as an Upper Limb Specialist, working in Orthopaedics and Physiotherapy at the Royal Infirmary. This involves working closely with the upper limb surgeons and radiologists. I have also worked privately in rugby clubs and private practice for many years and have been at the Edinburgh Clinic since 2008.
