Training & background:

Dr Hargreaves has worked as a NHS Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist for over 6 years. She has a broad background in training and completed two CCT (Completion Certificate of Training) in specialist higher psychiatric training.  She works in an integrated model including biological, psychological and social aspects which can contribute to the overall presentation. Dr Hargreaves can assess for suitability for medication, specific models of psychological interventions and advise on the most appropriate use of both at different stages of a person’s illness.

Dr Hargreaves is involved in the training, supervision and teaching of core psychiatric trainees in the NHS. She is also a member of national organisations aimed at improving mental health care across Scotland.
