About
Dr Das is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy, macular diseases and retinal vascular disorders. She has over 15 years of experience in Ophthalmology and has trained in Glasgow and the Princess Alexandra Eye Pavilion, Edinburgh.
Dr Das takes an active role in Postgraduate Education and is currently an Educational Supervisor for Ophthalmology trainees in Edinburgh and Fife. She is actively involved in Undergraduate Medical Education at the Edinburgh Medical School and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Ophthalmology at the Edinburgh University.
Dr Das is part of the Advisory Group on Macula and Medical Retina Service Improvement at NHS Lothian. She also has a keen interest in simulation-based training of ophthalmic procedures, mainly lasers in the management of retinal disease.
Dr Das has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at many national and international meetings. She is involved in research in macular and retinal degeneration.
