Dr Tidman has a busy NHS and private practice comprising all aspects of general dermatology, with particular interests in paediatric, medical and oncological dermatology.
Training & background:
Dr Tidman completed his undergraduate medical education at Guy’s Hospital, London. His dermatological training began as a Medical Research Council Training Fellow at the Institute of Dermatology and honorary registrar at St John’s Hospital for Diseases of the Skin, London, progressing to senior registrar at Guy’s Hospital. He was appointed a consultant dermatologist at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in 1988.
He has published widely in national and international journals, and has contributed chapters to internationally renowned textbooks. His doctorate degree was based on his research into inherited blistering diseases.
He is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at the University of Edinburgh, and is currently President of the Scottish Dermatological Society.
