Mr Shalaby was appointed as an Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle consultant in 2009, having completed his orthopaedic training in Cairo & Edinburgh. He finished his fellowships in Liverpool & Nottingham.
Mr Shalaby offers his patients the latest and most advanced treatment modalities in Foot & Ankle surgery including Total Ankle Primary & Revision Replacement, Minimally Invasive Foot & Ankle surgery, reconstruction of Ankle Cartilage defects, Ankle Ligament Reconstruction and more.
Mr Shalaby is a national expert in the correction of Complex Foot & Ankle Deformities and receives tertiary referrals for these cases from across Scotland.
Mr Shalaby has a great interest in research and teaching. He is a clinical supervisor for orthopaedic trainees in the South-East of Scotland and a reviewer in several international Orthopaedic Journals.
