Training & background:

Professor Dhillon has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in Edinburgh for over 20 years, published over 160 papers, nine book chapters, and two textbooks for students, with wide experience in clinical research. Current research includes cataract, age-related macular degeneration, stem cells and genetics, eye imaging and retinal treatments.

He is currently Hon. Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Edinburgh and Professor of Visual Impairment Studies, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.
