What happens during eyelid reduction surgery?
Eyelid reduction surgery (blepharoplasty) is a procedure to remove excess skin or fat from the eyelids. An eyelid reduction procedure can be performed for any of the following reasons:

  • Hereditary factors and natural ageing can cause the skin to droop. Many patients wish to have eye-lift surgery to remove the 'tired look'.
  • The procedure can remove excess skin, muscle and fat in the lower lid, which gives a lines appearance and the presence of ‘bags’ under the eyes.
  • The appearance of the eyelids may be asymmetrical and blepharoplasty may be performed to improve symmetry.
  • A drooping upper lid, known as ptosis, can obstruct the visual field (you may not be able to see the full extent of your lateral vision). In this case, ptosis surgery is performed to remove this obstruction.

What happens in my consultation?

If you have your procedure with us, you can rest assured that you will receive an exceptional personalised quality treatment, which is delivered by some of the best surgeons in the country.

If you are considering eye-lid reduction surgery, our ophthalmology surgeons can offer a range of advanced treatments. We offer all-inclusive package prices for eye-lid reduction surgery (terms and conditions apply).

  • Blepharoplasty on two eye-lids (upper eye-lids bilateral) with prices starting from £2,895
