The Edinburgh Clinic launches comprehensive Eye Clinic service
We are proud to announce the launch of The Edinburgh Eye Clinic. This new service provides comprehensive private ophthalmic care with specialist consultants at competitive prices in a convenient location in the city.
The Edinburgh Eye Clinic has been founded by Consultants Ophthalmologists Mr Peter Cackett, Professor Baljean Dhillon, Mr Jonathan Ross and Mr Ashish Agrawal.
Fast access to outpatient appointments with our Edinburgh Eye Clinic specialists is available at times aimed to suit you. Screening, assessment and treatment is available on-site for a wide range of conditions from simple eye-care to complex vision and eye-related problems.
Treatment is available for cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, dry eyes, glaucoma, eyelid lumps and cysts, macular degeneration and watery eyes, amongst others.
Our consultants offer assessment and treatment using the latest techniques and state-of-the-art equipment, including the Lenstar 900 Optical Biometer. Treatment is also available to correct near and distance vision using multifocal implants. Unlike standard lenses, these revolutionary multifocal intraocular lenses have areas with different focusing powers allowing near and distant objects to be seen without the need for spectacles.
A comprehensive oculoplastic surgical treatment service is also available for the cosmetic surgical and non-surgical rejuvenation of the eyelids and mid-face, including baggy lower eyelids, droopy upper eyelashes, prominent wrinkles, sunken or hollowed-looking eyes, eyelid malpositioning and ingrown eyelashes.
Private appointments at The Edinburgh Clinic are available to all patients, whether privately insured or for those choosing to self-pay private treatment. The Edinburgh Clinic is also proud to support the NHS as an appointed external treatment provider.
